The Saugus Police Criminal Investigations Unit is looking to identify a motor vehicle that was involved in a hit and run pedestrian accident.

On Thursday 1/28/2010, at approximately 5:15pm, an 81year old white male was struck and killed on 333 Central St. (in front of the Hammersmith restaurant) while attempting to cross the street. The motor vehicle fled the scene at a high rate of speed heading towards Winter St and/or Upper Central St. Saugus. Vehicle may have front end damage and possible a broken windshield. 
         

Suspect vehicle may be small to mid size dark colored SUV.
